Hydrangea Wedding Flowers

Hydrangeas have become an increasingly popular choice for wedding flowers. Here you can see the large pink hydrangea heads that we have in for a wedding this weekend.

They are a popular choice for table arrangements as well as bridal bouquets as they fit in really well with the recent Vintage Wedding Theme.

Hydrangeas come in pink, white, blue and a beautiful brown colour edged with green. They look fabulous when used on their own or when teamed with flowers such as lisianthus, peonies, stocks, roses and ranunculus.

Here are some more ideas on wedding flowers choices.

Bridal Bouquet Details

It's all in the detail. It's amazing what a difference finishing touches make to a bouquet.

Here you can see how I have used mother of pearl buttons as the finishing detail on this bridal bouquet. Buttons fit in really well with the current Vintage Theme and these mother of pearl buttons are really beautiful.

Here are some more ideas and photos on bridal bouquets that I have recently created.

You can make your wedding flowers really special when you add in discrete personal details like this.

Contemporary Top Table Arrangements

It has become really popular for couples to choose more contemporary top table arrangements.

Here you can see how we have used three of the large goldfish bowls with floating gerberas in them on a top table.

They looked really stunning, we linked the three bowls with tea lights in glass holders.

Let's Here it for the Boys

Don't forget about the men when you're planning your wedding flowers.

Let's face it they are not going to have many flowers, so make the ones they do have really special.

In this photo you can see how I've made this calla lily buttonhole look very contemporary and stylish without going over the top on accessories.

Sometimes discreet delicate details look far better and get noticed more than you'd think.

I love creating different buttonholes that coordinate through with the bridal flowers. Click here for more photos and ideas on buttonholes.

Peonie Wedding Flowers

As Spring moves into summer I think it's an ideal time to celebrate this beautiful English flower the peonie.

The peonie has become a really popular choice for brides at this time of the year. If you're looking for an English garden theme or vintage style to your wedding flowers then Peonies might be a choice for you.

Peonies make a great alternative to large garden roses, they also provide a beautiful delicate fragrance to a bouquet.

Peonies are available in soft and rich pink, white and deep red.

Check out what flowers are in season for your wedding.

Vintage Wedding Flowers

In this video you can see me setting up at a wedding. The bride asked us to produce vintage style table arrangements incorporating her butterfly theme. She was keen to have a very natural style of flower arrangements using fragrant flowers. The arrangements fitted very well with her venue, a rustic barn surrounded by beautiful countryside near Stratford Upon Avon.
