Hydrangea Chair Backs

In the photo here you can see how I have used a white hydrangea flower to make a wedding chair back.

Hydrangea wedding flowers are really popular right now with the trend for vintage wedding themes. I love using these large flower heads for chair backs as one flower looks beautiful simply tied to the side each of the chairs down the aisle.

Winter Weddding Flowers

Winter weddings are becoming increasingly popular and if you are planning a winter wedding you might be interested in these tall wedding centerpieces.

I created these recently for a winter bride of mine, she had a theme of a winter woodland.

We chose to use natural materials such as moss, twigs, bark, fir cones and seedpods teamed up with stunning white phalaenopsis orchids.

The effect was amazing, these stunning tall centrepieces were really effective in the wedding reception room. I also scattered fir cones around the base of the arrangements to add to the woodland theme.

I love phalaenopsis orchids and if we get to work on a wedding that features them I get really excited. This wedding used lots of them, which was great. Click here to see more of the winter wedding flowers from this wedding.

Autumn Wedding Flowers Theme

This year we have had the most beautiful autumn here in the U.K. The colours of the leaves have been truly breathtaking. So it’s not that surprising that many of our October and Septembers bides have used these colours for their autumn wedding flowers theme.

Here you can see a civil ceremony room set up for a September wedding. This room at Walton Hall is a really stunning backdrop for any wedding. You can see that I placed two pedestal arrangements either side of the registrars table to compliment the brides flower colour theme.

This ceremony room is so large with its stunning tall ceilings, pedestal arrangements help to focus attention on the ceremony area. I also placed the top table arrangement on the registrar’s table so that the room was filled with the beautiful autumn wedding flower theme.

Dressing the civil ceremony area also ensures that your wedding photos will feature your stunning flowers and give you a perfect backdrop.

Fall Wedding Bouquets

In the photo here you can see how I have arranged orange calla lilies, roses, freesias with lime green hypericum berries for a fall wedding bouquet. I also added delicate twigs and fall foliage to encapsulate the wedding theme.

This bridal bouquet was for an October wedding. The colours were so rich and vibrant they really gave a beautiful warm look to the whole wedding. Here are some more photos of fall wedding bouquets designs.

Hydrangea Wedding Decorations

This summer I had a wonderful time working with the most amazing large white hydrangea flowers. My bride wanted hydrangea wedding decorations in the church and reception and it was the only flower we used. So I think you can imagine how wonderful my workshop looked full of these stunning large blooms.

In this photo (on the left) you can see how I used these large blooms in the base of our large goldfish bowls. I just decorated the inside of the bowls with steelgrass and placed silver stones in the base to fit in with her colour theme. Goldfish bowls are always very popular low wedding centerpieces.

Three of these hydrangea goldfish bowls were placed along the length of the top table. They fitted really well with the brides theme for stunning elegant flowers.

Soft Pastel Wedding Flowers

In this photo you can see a handtied posy bouquet I made for a bride this summer. The bride, Lucy loved the cream ‘Vendela’ roses that are one of our favourites. But she just wanted to add a little warmth to the colour palette and she decided on this peachy coloured rose called ‘Kiwi’. Not only did she like the colour of this rose she also fell for its name as the Groom was from New Zealand, it was meant to be!

I loved this combination of cream and peach in her bridal bouquet.

See how we took this theme through to all the arrangements for her wedding reception. We decorated our beautiful silver candelabras with the same roses, ivory freesias and Singapore orchids. Hanging from the arms of the candelabras were beautiful jewel droplets.

Her colour palette added warmth to the wedding marquee and gave her just the finish and style she was looking for.
