Pink Wedding Flowers

I love the way one of our recent brides themed all her table stationary around her pink wedding flowers. Jenny’s bridal bouquet featured the wonderful ‘aqua’ pink rose. She then featured this rose on all of her table stationary that you can see here in the photo.

The line of roses as used in her bridal bouquet were printed along the bottom of the table numbers, place setting cards and menu’s. The same company also printed the seating plan and had the roses featured in the corners. I loved the way all the stationary coordinated and match her pink wedding flowers.

I also scattered a generous amount of the aqua pink rose petals underneath her tall centrepieces to give a touch of colour to the tables.

The aqua rose is a great rose for a vibrant pink wedding theme. Find out more about different shades of pink wedding flowers.

Purple Freesia Wedding Flowers

We get so many requests for purple wedding flowers and freesias are one of our favourites. You can see here in this photo the beautiful lilac ‘Blue Moon’ freesia in a bridal bouquet that I recently made.

This stunning lilac colour works really well in bridesmaid’s bouquets when the dresses are a deep shade of purple. The lilac colour stands out against the dark colour of the dress.

Freesia wedding flowers are wonderful for so many reasons; they smell fantastic, their strong delicate fragrance that is not overpowering. Freesias are very popular choice to go with the recent trend of vintage wedding flowers as they are old-fashioned blooms.

My favourite reason for using freesias is they have pretty delicate petals but really strong robust stems. This means they can be used in handtied posy bouquets, shower bouquets and table arrangements.

Other popular purple wedding flowers are lissianthus, veronica, anemones, hyacinths, aster and alliums.

Floor Standing Candle Stands

These beautiful silver floor standing candle stands make a great alternative to pedestal arrangements for a civil ceremony.

You can see here how I have placed them either side of the registrar's table during the wedding ceremony.

In this photo they have been decorated with red 'Passion' roses and lime green chrysanthemums.
